Che Weekend at the ICA
To celebrate the opening of the ICA Films new-release documentary 'Chevolution' - about the iconic image of Che Guevara - the ICA is to presenting a whole weekend of Che.
The opening night of 'Chevolution' is on Friday 18th September, followed by a screening of Steven Soderbergh's biopic 'Che parts 1 & 2' back to back on Saturday 19th and top it all off 'The Motorcycle Diaries' on Sunday 20th.
Delicious Cuban food and drink is available from the bar all weekend.
'Chevolution' is showing from 18 Sep - 7 Oct 2009.
This is the absorbing story of Che Guevara and how Alberto "Korda" Diaz's iconic photograph has come to represent so much to different generations. It is the story of a photographer and the most reproduced image of a person in the 20th century, and how mythology through art becomes larger than life. Che’s image now sells on posters, T-shirts and beer bottles, but what does he represent to modern consumers? Interviewees include Antonio Banderas, Gerry Adams and Gael García Bernal.
