Icon Home entertaining are offering a preview screening of their latest independent horror to be released on DVD, Splinter. Directed by Brit helmer Toby Wilkins, this creature-feature sees a young couple and a convict holed up in a gas station fighting for their lives against a mysterious, shape-changing beast. By splicing Sam Raimi's The Evil Dead and John Carpenter's The Thing with his own terrifying vision, feature newcomer Toby Wilkins has created an inventive, suspenseful affair that's B-movie at its most brilliant. Definitely the stuff of nightmares.
