White Lightnin'

whitelightening.jpg

Every first Wednesday of the month, Prince Charles Cinema hosts the Electric Sheep Film club. Highlighting both classic cinema and brand spanking new releases. The screenings are accompanied by a post film discussion in the lovely PCC bar, with the Electric Sheep Magazine writers.

On 2nd September they are very hosting a Special Preview Screening of the amazing White Lightnin'. Electric Sheep is proud to present a very special preview of this controversial portrayal of the ‘Dancin’ Outlaw’. A dark, surreal semi-biopic about glue-sniffing, hard-drinking, hell-raising Appalachian mountain dancer Jesco White (impressively played by newcomer Ed Hogg), British director Dominic Murphy’s debut feature takes us deeper and deeper into Jesco’s crazed visions and wild religious fantasies, culminating in horrific revenge and violent redemption. Intensely imagined and vividly directed, White Lightnin' is a raw, rabid, howling hillbilly hell trip that doesn’t let up.

The film is followed by a Q&A with Director Dominic Murphy
