Telphasic presents.....Konntient, Origamibiro & Gagarin.
and DJ sets from Robin Saville (ISAN), Hybernation & Rob Gretton

On Konntinent

Konntinent is the work of London’s Antony J Harrison. As well as co-curating Phantom Channel (an esteemed Net/CD-R Label) including its special Events wing, Harrison’s recorded output can be found on revered labels including Symbolic Interaction, Dynamophone, Serein and Sonic Pieces.

His music is unique, utilising an arsenal of broken electronics, silky organic instrumentation, found sounds and drone-based soundscapes, Konntinent ensures he avoids well-trodden paths to establish the fact that his compositions are very much his own

On Origamibiro:

Origamibiro is the alias of tom hill. Formerly one half of acclaimed electronica duo, Wauvenfold, His debut with Expanding Records,
Cracked Mirrors and Stopped Clocks, sees Tom shift away from the angular beat contortions of Wauvenfold to sculpt an album of interlacing classical guitar-part harmonies and textural samples - including the creaks of chairs and all the knocks, scrapes, bumps and other by-products that come with playing a wooden instrument.

On Gagarin:

Gagarin has been making music on the edges of the musical galaxy for many years in many guises. Currently he works alone crafting atmospheric digital soundscapes, sculpting future grooves and polishing aching melodies. He plays out live - an exciting mix of software precision and human frailty/spontaneity thats never the same twice.

We are also offering you an exclusive chance to become a part of Echaskech’s A/V performance and have your film / visuals performed on the night over two of their new tracks.

Echaskech

Desribed as the 'The best hypnotic technotronica since the demise of Orbital', Echaskech have a unique style of melodic dance beats blending a spectrum of flavours; warm chord progressions with filthy subs and heavy crunching beats, all strung together within a seamlessly building set that is seductive and uplifting to the point of air punching euphoria. After the amazingly well received debut album 'Skechbook' in 2007 this summer sees the release of 'Shatterproof' an album of bone shaking electronica, and although these guys are relatively new on the scene, if you get the chance to see them live, this might be your last chance to catch them as 'unknowns'.

Visual Salad
Echaskech need you, and your talents to help put together this show. We are looking for creative visual ideas in a finished form that can be 'performed' on the night over 2 of their new, especially selected tunes. Perhaps you already have something that might work, or an idea that still needs realising but if you are interested in getting involved and submitting then click here to find out more.

Neotropic

Riz Maslen, who records as Neotropic and Small Fish With Spine has been described as one of the most prominent women composers working in post-techno experimental electronics. In addition to her warm electronic programming, Maslen’s music also embraces folk, psychedelic pop and her interest in experimental filmmaking.
