Jonas Mekas - As I was Moving Ahead, Occasionally I saw Brief Glimpses of Beauty


On 17th of February Dublin Film Festival has a retrospective on Jonas Mekas. Emigration etc, describes him as ‘widely regarded as one of the leading figures of American avant-garde filmmaking or the “New American Cinema,” with the likes of John Lennon, Yoko Ono, Andy Warhol and Salvador Dali appearing in the innumerable hours of his film diaries reflecting on his life in New York, where he has been working for the past 60 years.’
