The UK Film Council’s New Cinema Fund is inviting filmmakers to apply to the 2007/08 short film Completion Fund. The fund is part of the New Cinema Fund’s programme to enable directors and producers to push their creative boundaries, develop new talent and to invest in short films that illustrate unique ideas and an innovative approach.
In 2007/08 the total fund available to the Completion Fund will increase from £50,000 to £70,000. There will be two invitations for applications and up to 14 films may be offered funding. The first selection of projects will have approximately £35,000 distributed across around seven films although this may vary depending on the quality of the applications.
