Foreign sales, repeat fees, contract basics; are you getting the fees you deserve? Directors UK, together with Sheridans law firm, give you the information you need for making bigger bucks on your next job.

Directors UK are paid by UK broadcasters for repeats and foreign sales. They even receive money from sales of blank DVDs and DVD players. Suzan Dormer, their Chief Executive, will tell you how to get your piece of the pie.

Sheridans law firm will then talk through the basic rights that are due to you as a director. They will give you the key check list for contract negotiations, informing you on what can be negotiated and what’s a waste of your time.

This is a women only event, and free for members.

As time passed Lolita, the most classical of Kubrick's films - first judged (often unfavourably) only in relation to Nabokov's literary masterpiece - was seen to fit ever more perfectly with the director's world view. The black comedy, the multiple impersonations of Peter Sellers as Quilty (shades of Dr Strangelove!), the sexual infatuation of Humbert Humbert for a nymphet and his descent into madness (an extraordinary performance by James Mason), brilliantly anticipated Kubrick’s future work.

See, Brighton Documentary Festival, launches this weekend with Three Miles North of Molkom. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with co-directors Robert Cannan and Corinna Villari-McFarlane.

Every summer, more than a thousand people go looking for themselves at the No Mind Festival in northern Sweden.

The film follows the comic-come-karmic adventures of one 'sharing group' made up of a middle-aged mojo-worn lothario, a Swedish pop star, a Hawaiian hippy, an emotionally fragile Finnish grandma and the audience's sounding board, Nick, an Australian rugby coach who doesn't buy a second of their 'find your inner power animal' antics.
