Paramount are partnering with Sony for a major marketing push to promote the upcoming release - Watchmen, directed by Zack Snyder (300). We received the following press release. I'm not too sure why they will only choose ten guests to ask questions, perhaps because the PlayStation virtial world cannot handle it?

At 4pm GMT on 23rd February, Paramount Pictures International (PPI) will be staging the first ever filmmaker Q&A to take place in the groundbreaking new virtual world PlayStation Home, promoting the international release of WATCHMEN on March 6th 2009.

An audience of ten guests – made up of journalists, bloggers and fans from around the world – will be given a unique opportunity to put questions to WATCHMEN director Zack Snyder and the graphic novel’s artist Dave Gibbons as part of this ambitious invitation-only event.

The event will be streamed live across the Internet, commencing a comprehensive WATCHMEN webcast which will include integrated film footage and a post event edit with coverage of the red carpet at the UK premiere in London’s Leicester Square.

Following their acclaimed rescores for The Straight Story and Belleville Rendezvous, which toured the UK's PictureHouse cinema circuit to sell-out performances, Sheffield-based musicians Animat return to the Roxy to premiere their latest live music & DJ rescore project.

Tuvalu is the 1999 award-winning dark comedy from German director Veit Helmer, which remains sadly unreleased in the UK despite winning numerous awards in Europe and the USA. Set in a dilapidated swimming baths and fuelled by dreams of escape to a tropical paradise, the film is an inspired, quirky and stylish tale which sits somewhere in the tradition of Marc Caro's ‘Delicatessen' and Kusturica's ‘Black Cat, White Cat'.

Animat have developed a new soundtrack to the film which they perform live incorporating sound and dialogue from the film together with a mixture of their own original brand of dubby downtempo and an eclectic selection of tracks from their DJ archive.

A rare chance to see this magical film, and a one-off London performance of the live rescore!
